Meet Alejandro Lopez, founder of Toma Craft Cocktails Mixes.
"The Bloody Mary is the most inconsistently made cocktail. Period. Despite its popularity around the world, brunch enthusiasts find it to be a hit or miss experience, never knowing what to expect. That's why we’ve taken the Bloody Mary, a provocative and complicated cocktail, to new heights.
Our award-winning Bloody Mary mixers are changing the way people experience brunch. Handcrafted with curated ingredients including our own sriracha and a chipotle-tomatillo sauce, our three mixers deliver on a promise to make a deliciously savory cocktail -- each one with varying degrees of heat and flavor profiles. Toma takes the guesswork out of pouring the perfect Bloody Mary!
Toma was born in my kitchen in Astoria, Queens (NY) out of necessity and a love for bringing family and friends together for brunch. Encouraged to share it with the world, I promised to produce mixers that challenged conventional recipes and packed in superior flavor. Your taste buds will sing your praises for choosing to pour Toma.
Toma means "to take" or "to drink" in Spanish. I am a first-generation Cuban Colombian American. Before coming to America, my mother left Cuba and moved to Mexico City where she lived for a year. Her time there had an influence on her cooking and therefore had an impact on me. The chipotle-tomatillo sauce that we make is by far one of the most unique ingredients in our mixers and to me personally, a representation of my mother's journey from Cuba to freedom in America."
